The ‘Save the Rain Tree’ Planting Program has developed a vigorous tree planting initiative for neighborhoods throughout the City of Syracuse. This collaborative effort supports the planting of thousands of trees in Central New York!
On October 31, YRM worked in partnership with Onondaga County ‘Save the Rain Tree’, Cornell University Cooperative Extension, and Onondaga Earth Corp to beautify LoNoS (Lower Northside)by planting 36 trees. The groups gathered at the Freedom Garden at 9:30am, began the day with coffee and a “warm up”, and planted until 1:00pm. Thanks to all who participated to make LoNoS a greener place.
